Like any ghillie suit, these should be treated for the area of intended use beforehand. Add or delete pieces of material, Rubbing the suit into the forest duff will add color depth, bits of leaves, and native color. Shake out excess soil.
Some users like to rub their suit well into the soil, and then rinse them in a tub with the soil and duff still on the suit. Some then give them a second rub into the local soil and after shake them out. Never wash a ghillie suit or web gear, spot clean instead, with mild soap without brighteners in it.
